Transforming the lives of Women

To our loyal supporters:

Many of us are aware of the news pertaining to the Coronavirus crisis. Although there is a lot of uncertainty surrounding the situation, my top priority is to ensure that health and safety is at the forefront. It is critical that we do our part to help reduce the spread and transmission of COVID-19.

With that said, we have suspended our Coping and Maneuvering through Life T.E.A.CH. workshop for this month. Healing Vine Harbor staff and volunteers will not meet in person and will only correspond via teleconference. In addition, my induction ceremony to the Women’s Hall of Fame, on March 27, has been postponed.

I have also coordinated with the Board of Directors to determine the steps that need to be taken regarding our 4th Annual Purple Wing Soirée. It saddens us to report, after serious deliberation, we have decided to postpone the event and our intention is to reschedule in the Fall. We will determine a future date after this current crisis is under control. We have closely monitored the news and want to ensure we are diligent with adhering to the guidance from public health officials and government agencies. In the coming weeks, we will contact each person who has already purchased a ticket to the Soirée. You can let us know whether you would like a refund or to maintain your reservation for the rescheduled date.

At this time, we will continue to focus on providing support for the women we serve. We are excited to announce that Healing Vine Harbor will begin housing its first resident effective April 1. Therefore, we still need your help. We welcome any support you can provide. You can visit our website, www.healingvineharbor.org, or visit us on our Social Media outlets.

We will get through this together. Faith and Fear cannot reside in the same space. Please continue to pray for our nation and pray for our homeless neighbors during this scary time. Stay safe and protect yourself and your loved ones.
