Resolutions may fade, but our commitment to stability and impact does not.
Greetings Healing Vine Harbor Family -
It’s already March!
For many of us, the energy and intentions we set in January have quietly faded into the background. New Year’s resolutions, despite being well-intended, are often hard to sustain once real life settles back in.
That’s why this quarter I've been committed to stability versus resolutions.
Steady Ground: Over the past year, Healing Vine Harbor has intentionally invested in building stronger systems, clear processes, and a supportive infrastructure that allows our work to continue, even when life shifts. Instead of resolving to do more, we’re committed to building what lasts.
This stability is possible because of my committed team, an engaged Board of Directors, and volunteers and partners like you who believe deeply in our mission.
Committed Partners: We are creating stability in our relationships with our donors — ensuring you know how deeply you are appreciated and how meaningfully your investment is strengthening women, families, and our broader community. Your partnership is not transactional; it is transformational.
I want to especially thank Reemprise Fund, one of our major funders and partners, whose support extends far beyond financial investment. Their team works side by side with me to build the capacity of our organization — helping us grow stronger than we’ve ever been. Thank you, Charlie, Kelly, and Diane.
Stability for the Women We Serve: Stability is at the heart of what we are building for the women we serve. We continue to invest in their long-term success - supporting stable housing, employment, and strong support systems - so women can move forward with confidence beyond Healing Vine Harbor.
Together, We Help Them Ascend!
Thank you for being part of this community and for helping us build something that lasts.
With gratitude,
Tracey Questell

Celebrating Impact. Honoring Dignity💜
Healing Bags are filled with hygiene and self-care items that provide dignity and comfort. In 2025, Healing Vine Harbor provided nearly 550 women with a Healing Bag — each one filled with self-care essentials, and a powerful reminder that someone cares.
✨ That impact represents more than $10,000 in tangible support — and countless moments of compassion for women navigating homelessness, displacement, and crisis across our community.
Every bag tells a woman: You are seen. You matter. You are not alone.
Thank you to our donors, volunteers, and community partners who made this possible. 💜
✨ We’re inviting businesses, faith communities, schools, and civic groups to host a Healing Bags Supply Drive in 2026and help us support women in need across our community.
Organizations of all sizes can make a meaningful impact through this effort.

Highlighting our Interns: Kate and Maddison
Last fall, Kate and Maddison began their internships with Healing Vine Harbor, working one-on-one with our clients as they moved from crisis toward stability. We’re fortunate to welcome them back this semester — especially while our Program Coordinator, Victoria, is on maternity leave (congratulations, Victoria!).
Tracey works closely with Kate and Maddison, ensuring they gain meaningful hands-on experience while also receiving the mentorship and wisdom they deserve.
Learn more about Kate and Maddison:
Kate joins us with a heart for empowering women and supporting mental health in our community.
Kate hopes to learn from our team’s expertise in supporting women who are rebuilding their lives, while also gaining wisdom from our clients and their lived experiences. Her goal is to grow as a professional who serves with care, compassion, and community connection.
Her hope for impact: “If I can connect with someone and provide even a small moment of support that makes a difference, that’s the impact I want to make.”
Maddison joins us with a heart for service and a passion for community. During her internship, Maddison hopes to deepen her knowledge of grant writing and learn more about the incredible resources available to women and families in Charlotte.
During her time at HVH, Maddison hopes to make a positive impact by helping our clients feel supported, valued, and empowered. She wants to connect them with resources that promote stability and encourage them to see their own strengths and potential.
For our December TALK Workshop, Align and Unwind, participants explored healthy coping mechanisms that support emotional regulation, stress relief, and prevention of substance abuse. Maddison led the ladies in line dancing, and the room filled with laughter, movement, and release. Watch the video here.
The Align and Unwind Workshop was made possible by a grant from the Mecklenburg ABC Board.
Join us in thanking Maddison and Kate for the impact they are making! 💜
